A tesbih (also spelled tasbih or misbaha) is a string of prayer beads used to count recitations. Among the many materials used, few are as prized as Baltic amber — known in Turkish as kehribar. Warm, light, and glowing with an inner fire, amber tesbih are treasured across Turkey, the Middle East, and the wider Muslim world.

2. Count the beads. Traditional tesbih come in 33 or 99 beads, plus the imame (the elongated head bead) and tassel.
